I have been working in the plastic injection mold industry the majority of my adult life. At 44 years old, I have approximately 20 years designing and building plastic injection molds. I also worked four years building high tolerance prototype parts, and still perform this task periodically.
I currently live in NY with my wife and son. Our daughter works and attends college in Michigan.
Please click on the tabs at the top of of this page to view some of the parts I have been directly responsible for in the past year. The molds (and designs) that created these parts were either completed by myself, or are a direct result of my direction and supervision. These parts are on the small side of the spectrum, but I am familiar with designing and building medium to large molds thanks to my automotive beginings.
After reviewing the parts and suggesting part modifications to allow for optimum design, manufacturing and processing (usually as a team effort), all molds were designed 3 dimensionally. I was responsible for steel type selection, electrode extraction, subbing out of appropriate components, machining of cavities, cores, electrodes and mold base components, and ultimately the 3 dimensional mold design.
